Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop artists: one capable of effortlessly bridge the gap between pop and country, conquering the globe. Swift left country music like it was another layer of herself, proving that she is perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. Someone who is able to harness the mood of times to make her music personal and also perform in the opposite. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous popularity and launched the singer into superstardom. Swift's popularity grew over the course of her three subsequent albums - Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift became a household name within the genre she was a part of. Although she slowed down her work with folklore and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was nevertheless at the forefront of pop music.
