LeBron Raymone James Sr., born the 30th of December, 1984 is an American professional basket ball player who represents the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). James is known as King James and is considered to be one of the most successful basketball players in history. James was awarded two Olympic golds, as well as four NBA championships. James is second in greatest number of goals in his career and seventh-highest assists. He has been selected for the NBA All Star team 18 times. James has been named to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times and to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. The third-highest number in NBA Finals ever was ten, with eight being consecutive between 2011-2018. In 2021 James was selected to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 he became the first athlete to ever in NBA history to accumulate 10,000 points or more in a career rebounds and assists. James was a basketball player in St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he lived his entire life. National media touted him as a potential NBA star. A prep-to-pro, he was picked for the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft. He was voted the NBA player of the year for 2004. Then he was one of the top players of the NBA, winning both the NBA MVP Award both 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to take home the title at Cleveland in 2010 quit as a free-agent and joined his team the Miami Heat. This was disclosed as part of The Decision. It is one of the most controversial choices made by a free agent in sports time.
