Kari Sam Wuhrer born on April 28, 1968, is an American Actress and Singer. Her career started when she was still in her teens. Her most notable performances include Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders as well as the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble), who works as a payroll accountant and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a officer and dealer in cars). Her father was the eldest of her three siblings. In her teens She performed in nightclubs and would sneak out of the family home to perform.
